Keep banking, cards and e-wallet details out of AI chats
Do you want AI to help with a bill, receipt or money question?
What to do
- Type only the date, shop or bill name, and the amount. Do not paste account numbers, card numbers, CVV codes, expiry dates, GCash or Maya numbers, MPINs, PINs or OTPs.
- Do not photograph or upload a screenshot of a banking app, card, QR payment or OTP screen.
- Use placeholders such as [amount] or [bank name]. A made-up example is often enough.
- If you already pasted a password, PIN, OTP or card number, change it in the official app or website and contact the bank or e-wallet. Deleting the chat does not protect the account.

Input (illustrative): Shop: Example Store. Date: 12 September 2026. Amount: ₱1,250. Question: “What should I check before I pay a similar bill next month?” Example result: “Check the due date, the amount against your own record, and whether any extra fee was added. To confirm: the original receipt.”
Before you use it: GCash and banks will not ask you for an OTP or MPIN in a chat, by SMS or over the phone. Use only the official app or website.
Philippine notes
- GCash says it will never ask for your MPIN or OTP, including over the phone or in a message.
- Maya says never share usernames, passwords, OTPs, bank account numbers, or debit and credit card numbers, CVV codes and expiry dates with unverified parties.
